How do you fit a chandelier?

Chandelier installations depending on the weight of the fixture may require the electrical box to be reinforced to support the weight. Another thing to consider is the height of the ceiling. Most chandeliers are hung in the main entrance of a home over 20 feet high and require scaffolding to install them safely.

How do you connect chandelier wires?

You should make sure the power to the box is turned off. After it is safe take the black wire (hot) and connect to the black wire on the chandelier, take the white wire (neutral) and connect it to the white wire on the chandelier. Finally make sure to connect the ground wires together. This wire is either bare copper, green or green/yellow.

Are chandeliers hard to install?

The challenging factors for chandelier installations come in the assembly of complex chandeliers that have multiple pieces used to create a specific design. Another challenge you may face in the installation is erecting the scaffolding used to reach the higher than normal ceiling heights. Another common challenge faced is some chandeliers can be very heavy and require multiple people to install them safely.
